Biography
Peter Glade has been lead counsel on many of the firm’s largest, high-profile cases. He has represented individuals and businesses in pressing and defending claims over professional malpractice, violations of antitrust and securities laws and regulations, breaches of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, fraud, product liability, intellectual property disputes, real estate transactions, lender liability, and other business torts.
Peter joined the firm in 1984, and was managing shareholder from 1990 to 1999. He drives the constant advancement of the firm’s technological systems. Because many of his cases have involved the management of the discovery of electronic files and systems and the use of large databases of documents and electronic files, he is often called upon by colleagues inside the firm and out to provide advice and support on issues involving information technology.
Peter consistently achieves excellent results for his clients. This is why he has been identified by clients and competitors as one of Portland’s outstanding trial lawyers, ranked among top business litigators by the Chambers USA guide, The Best Lawyers in America, Oregon Super Lawyers and Portland Monthly magazine.
Peter moved from Indiana to Portland to attend law school in 1975. Upon graduation, he joined a small corporate and tax planning firm as one of its litigators in 1979. Although the last 20 years of his practice have focused on large business cases, those early years provided a broad base of experience, which, in addition to commercial litigation, included personal injury cases, and collections, business and real estate transactions, securities law, and administrative law.
