Biography

Joseph Franco will not be outworked and he doesn’t run from a fight. Tenacious when he needs to be, compassionate when he should be, Joe is determined to achieve outstanding results for our clients. He has played significant roles in multi-million-dollar lawsuits, handling critical summary judgment motions and arguing before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Although his practice currently focuses on complex civil litigation, Joe has significant experience in the areas of legal malpractice and insurance coverage disputes. He joined Markowitz, Herbold, Glade & Mehlhaf in 2009, after practicing complex civil litigation at a boutique trial litigation firm in Portland, Oregon.

Joe graduated magna cum laude from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, where he was an editor for the law review and published articles on the subjects of interstate commerce and arbitration law. The law school faculty and staff selected Joe as a member of the Cornelius Honor Society on the basis of superior scholarship, leadership, and contribution to the law school community.

Prior to attending law school, Joe worked for the State of Oregon, inspecting long-term care facilities and investigating cases of abuse and neglect of disabled citizens.
