Biography
Elizabeth Puskar focuses her practice on commercial litigation, including contract disputes, real estate matters, and employment litigation. Prior to joining Markowitz, Herbold, Glade & Mehlhaf, Liz worked for two years as a Deputy District Attorney in Multnomah County, where she garnered extensive courtroom experience in both motion hearing and trials.
Prior to moving to Portland, Liz practiced international trade law in Washington, D.C. As an associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP and later at Miller & Chevalier, Chartered, Liz counseled both governments and private-sector entities on matters related to U.S. Customs, foreign investment, export controls, trade remedies, and treaty interpretation. Liz served as counsel in a number of complex international trade disputes before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and dispute resolution panels under the NAFTA and the WTO.
Liz is a graduate of Harvard Law School where she was an executive editor of the Human Rights Law Journal and served on the staff of the International Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, Liz worked for two years as a paralegal in Washington, D.C. in the field of international trade litigation and investment.
