Jeff Batchelor to be Inducted into the Portland Interscholastic League Hall of Fame

Portland, Ore. -- Markowitz, Herbold, Glade & Mehlhaf is pleased to announce that Shareholder Jeff Batchelor will be inducted into the Portland Interscholastic League Hall of Fame on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Jeff will be inducted for achievements he earned as a wrestler for Madison High School in the mid-1960s.

While wrestling for Madison High, he placed first and second in state-wide competition and won two PIL titles. He also went on to wrestle for Oklahoma State and Brigham Young University.

There are a total of 59 inductees this year. The Class of 2009 was chosen by a committee made up of former athletes from all Portland high schools. The PIL has been around for at least 109 years according to school records and is believed to be one of the oldest in the country.
